At the end of the Children’s Music Network Conference there is always a closing circle. Because the network is made up of singers and musicians, there’s a full and rich sound when everyone sings together.
I wrote this song soon after, imagining it sung by my friends at that closing. Maybe some year, but for now, it exists in my draft version here. I suspect that there are other verses to write, but for now, here’s 1.0
From town to town from show to show
And everywhere we’ve been.
We’ll return to friendship’s glow
And I can’t wait ‘til then.
‘Til then. ‘Til then.
Somewhere ‘round the bend.
I will hold you in my heart
‘Til I see you again.
Every story. Every song
Leads on through thick and thin.
We will meet before too long.
I can’t wait ‘til then.
Circles turn and are complete
Although they never end.
Time together turns so sweet
And I can’t wait ‘til then.

‘Til Then
love this song – perfect! simple, easy to learn, exactly how it feels!
Can’t wait to sing it at the next CMN closing circle….til then…big hugs, Stuart!

Lovely, heart song.
I can imagine it singing it with my little kiddos, changing the first line to
“from Spring to snow” – with the composer’s approval, of course.
Thank you, Stuart.

Great idea. Approved by composer
Stuart, love your music. We sing Music in My Mother’s House quite often. Where does one find your CD’s?
