Never Too Old To Dance
Never too old to dance, Never too old to sing
Never too old to take a chance and let my dreams take wing.
Don’t call me old if saying I’m old means
I can’t do what I choose.
Don’t call me old if I’m just being told
I’m worn out, broken or used.
When I hear the music, I’ll step right to it
Even if I’m all alone
We’re not talking speed, but that’s not what I need
When I feel the beat in my bones.
As people get old, we still can be bold
with brand new adventures to live.
If I’m figure skating or contemplating
I’ve still got more I can give.
I’m more than my ills, more than my pills,
more than my latest disease.
As long as I last I’m much more than my past,
more than just my memories.
I’m proud of my years I’m glad that I’m here
with every wrinkle and line.
As long as I live, every moment’s a gift
as I watch the passing of time.
