School Assemblies with Stuart Stotts are fun, participatory, educational and filled with positive messages. He includes stories and songs, as well as movement, humor and meaning.
Stuart does many elementary school assemblies every year, on topics ranging from the environment to multi-cultural understanding. Children and adults come away feeling good. One third grader said, “This is better than recess!” Teachers and principals respond with similar enthusiasm, to the messages, the humor and to the attentiveness and involvement of the students.
Stuart offers specific themes, but he also often customizes programs to fit the interest of a school.
SO MANY WAYS TO BE SMART – A celebration of reading, writing, math, creativity and relating to others. This program draws on the ideas of multiple intelligences and inspires kids to learn and think about how they learn. Depending on the age of the audience, there are songs like Jennifer Montgomery, I know Math ,Dog in School, Mi Cuerpo and stories of frogs, locusts and oonkaloonka fish. The title song rounds it all out. There is also plenty of laughter and audience participation. Guaranteed to please kids and adults.
ALL A FAMILY UNDER ONE SKY – Peace, cooperation and relating to people in different cultures are featured with easy to sing songs in Spanish, Arabic and sign. And in English: “World Citizen” and “Rainbow.”
SEVEN NIGHTS TO READ – A celebration of reading. Includes stories, anecdotes and songs to encourage reading, at school and at home. Depending on age of audience, the show may include songs like “One Word at a Time” or “My Favorite Books.”
I LIKE MYSELF JUST THE WAY I AM – Self esteem, protective behaviors, healthy life choices, drug/alcohol awareness and dealing with feelings. Everyone can join in on “I’ve Got the Right to Feel Safe” and “Nightmares.”

Programs for Middle and High School Students
GROWING WINGS – A program of folk tales about becoming an adult, including discussion of rites of passage from around the world. For middle or high school students.
Stuart uses humor, suspense and descriptions of authentic cultural practices form around the world to captivate student’s attention. This is an excellent program to initiate discussion about responsibilities, expectations and aspirations for growing up. This program is best as a full day set of activities, including small groups, but can be presented as a single performance.
